Caroline Jones

Caroline Jones is a New York City based singer/songwriter/producer about to take over - Treble Red designed and developed her web site that offers music downloads, HTML5 video playback, live streaming concerts, and album collection building, just to name a few features.

ROLE
Treble Red worked with Caroline Jones to capture the visual feel she wanted to accompany her music. Eclectic, warm, nostalgic and passionate were words we focused on bringing to life in the site. We helped strategize the entire user experience from the first visit to returning visitors that want to access a live performance of Caroline Jones via streaming video.

REQUIREMENTS
The biggest concern was to ensure that CarolineJones.com supported audio and video playback and download across as many environments as possible. Apple devices such as the iPad and iPhone, which don't support Flash, were of extreme importance. We needed to not only ensure that audio playback within the custom Record Player we created was fast and accessible, but also needed to ensure that all aspects related to the audio file were easily available to the user and easy to associate by the site admin. We build a custom module for audio files that allows for dynamic relational elements such as videos, lyrics, reviews, and albums.

Users also have the ability to build their own 10 song collection from any song in Caroline Jones' body of work, and purchase instantly.

Beyond the audio segment we worked closely with a 3rd party service, LiveStream, which provides streaming video of events as they happen. This enables users of CarolineJones.com to pre-purchase tickets to a show in NYC from their living room in Denver and watch it as it's happening.
